In looking for a quote to say I love you I
searched through sources old and new. Perhaps not surprisingly,
some of the most famous were the old favorites, such as these:

Elizabeth Barrett Browning also gave us this memorable quote to say I

In more contemporary times, I found
that a lot -- a lot -- of people talk about love, but very few simply
say "I love you." At least not in print, and not many
provide a quote to say I love you. Perhaps
as Stephen King says:
The most important things are the hardest to say, because words
diminish them.
So I turned to songs, movies and
Broadway. Ah, that's where love reigns. Here's a lovely
quote to say I love you
I love that you get cold when it is 71 degrees out. I love that it
takes you an hour and a half to order a sandwich. I love that you get a
little crinkle in your nose when you're looking at me like I'm nuts. I
love that after I spend day with you, I can still smell your perfume on

A word of caution. The quote to
say I love you in the song by Dolly Parton is really a sad song, saying
goodbye. I've included it here only because it is so well known.
